Ahmed Mansour

Ophthalmologist and Vitreoretinal Surgeon at Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. Started ophthalmology training in 2014 and completed residency in late 2017. Began Surgical Retina & Retinopathy of Prematurity fellowship in 2018 to 2020, followed by the first 3D Ngenuity heads-up basic and advanced surgical retina fellowship in the MENA region (2020 to 2021).

Special interests include diabetic vitrectomy, advanced retinal detachment, trauma, and pediatric retina.

Since 2022, serving as co-head of the vitreoretinal training program and attending/trainer in the vitreoretinal unit at Ain Shams University, training more than 12 fellows from different countries.

Current interests include intraoperative fluorescein angiography development, small-gauge vitrectomy, and anterior segment reconstruction.

Has participated as speaker, moderator, and course instructor in more than 40 national and international conferences, with 8 national and international awards.
