Ali Erginay

Ali Erginay is a senior consultant ophthalmologist at Lariboisière Hospital (AP-HP), Paris, France. He graduated from the Paris 6 medical faculty and also holds a degree in computer science. He specialises in vitreoretinal disorders, and his research focuses on diabetic retinopathy; he has taken part in national and international clinical trials on retinal vascular diseases. With an interest in computerised medical imaging, he has been responsible for the reading centre of the OPHDIAT telemedicine network. He is a co-author of the French textbook Rétinopathie diabétique, published by Elsevier, whose third edition appeared in 2025. At the EURETINA congresses of 2023 and 2024 he presented work on ultra-widefield red-green-blue retinal imaging, including a side-by-side camera comparison carried out at Lariboisière.
