Dina Hassanein

Dina Hossameldin Hassanein is a Professor of Ophthalmology at Cairo University, Cairo, Egypt, with clinical and research interests in paediatric ophthalmology, retinoblastoma and retinopathy of prematurity. Dr. Hassanein's published work on strabismus includes studies of eye muscle surgery outcomes, vertical muscle transposition for sixth nerve palsy and exotropic heavy eye syndrome in high axial myopia. Work on amblyopia includes a randomised trial comparing patching with dichoptic stimulation using virtual reality. Other studies address intraocular lens power calculation and lens exchange in children, paediatric glaucoma and the treatment of retinopathy of prematurity.
