Hala El Hilali

Hala El Hilali is a Professor of Ophthalmology at the Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University, Cairo, Egypt. She earned her medical degree at Cairo University, where she began her career as an Assistant Lecturer, and later completed fellowship training in pediatric ophthalmology at McGill University in Canada. Her clinical interests are pediatric and adult strabismus, pediatric cataract and glaucoma surgery, and retinopathy of prematurity. She has been Vice-President of the Egyptian Association of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (EAPOS). Her recent research includes a study of predictors of consecutive exotropia after accommodative esotropia and a randomised trial comparing two-site trabeculotomy with gonioscopy-assisted transluminal trabeculotomy for primary congenital glaucoma.
