Heba Foad

Heba Foad is an ophthalmologist at the Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University (Kasr Al Ainy), and a consultant in the Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus Department of Watany Eye Hospitals in Cairo, Egypt. Her clinical work focuses on pediatric eye care and the diagnosis and surgical treatment of strabismus in children and adults. Publishing as Heba M. Fouad, she has written on intermittent exotropia, accommodative and infantile esotropia, esotropia induced by optical correction in myopic patients, exotropic Duane syndrome, third nerve palsy with aberrant regeneration and dissociated vertical deviation, including comparisons of surgical techniques such as medial rectus pulley fixation and inferior oblique anteriorization. Her work has appeared in the Journal of AAPOS, the American Journal of Ophthalmology, Seminars in Ophthalmology and the journal Strabismus.
