Heba Metwally

Heba Metwally is a consultant ophthalmologist in Cairo, Egypt, specialising in strabismus and pediatric ophthalmology. Her practice also covers cataract surgery in children and adults, amblyopia, double vision and refractive correction. She holds a doctorate (MD) in ophthalmology from Cairo University, the Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (FRCS) and the Fellowship of the International Council of Ophthalmology (FICO). Her research, published with the Memorial Institute for Ophthalmic Research in Giza, includes a study of retro-equatorial inferior oblique myopexy for inferior oblique overaction and a multicentre study on tailoring screening guidelines for retinopathy of prematurity in Egypt.
