Laura Periman

Laura M. Periman is an ophthalmologist and the founder and director of Dry Eye Services and Clinical Research at the Periman Eye Institute in Seattle, Washington, United States. She completed her ophthalmology residency and a cornea and refractive surgery fellowship at the University of Washington in Seattle and is board certified in ophthalmology. Her clinical work focuses on dry eye and ocular surface disease, including medical management of corneal surface disorders. Before medical school she worked as a molecular biologist, including in research and development at Immunex (now Amgen). Dr. Periman writes and teaches on ocular surface disease for ophthalmology publications and education programmes, and she was named to The Ophthalmologist Power List in 2021.
