Ma'an AlBarry

Ma'an AlBarry is an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at Taibah University in Medina, Saudi Arabia, and has been Chief of Staff at Magrabi Eye Centre in Medina and President of the Saudi Group of Cornea & Refractive Surgeons. Dr. AlBarry's work centres on cornea, cataract and refractive surgery. Research from the Department of Ophthalmology at Taibah University's College of Medicine covers tacrolimus eye drops for severe vernal keratoconjunctivitis, dry eye in contact lens wearers, refractive results of toric phakic intraocular lenses, and genetic studies of retinitis pigmentosa, Waardenburg syndrome and Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada disease. At the 2026 Emirates Society of Ophthalmology conference Dr. AlBarry moderated a session on premium intraocular lenses and spoke on planning for premium lenses and on dealing with unhappy patients.
