Biography
Ahmad Muneer Otri is a Consultant in Ophthalmology at The View Hospital, Doha, Qatar, and a Clinical Professor in Surgery at Qatar University. He studied medicine at the University of Aleppo and completed a master's degree in ophthalmology at Damascus University, Syria, before moving to the United Kingdom, where he earned a PhD in ophthalmology at the University of Nottingham. At Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham, he held a clinical research fellowship in cornea and anterior segment and later a glaucoma fellowship, and in 2020 he was appointed glaucoma consultant at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. He holds the FRCOphth (London) and FRCS (Glasgow). His clinical work covers all types of glaucoma, including laser treatment, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, trabeculectomy and tube surgery, as well as routine and complex cataract surgery and diseases of the cornea and anterior segment.
