Nancy Al Raqqad

Nancy Al Raqqad is a consultant cornea, cataract and refractive surgeon and Chief of the Cornea and Refractive Division at the Royal Medical Services, Jordan. She holds the MBBS from the University of Jordan, the Jordanian Board in Ophthalmology (JBO) and the Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. At the Royal Medical Services she introduced surgeon-cut lamellar corneal transplantation, including ALTK and DSAEK, as well as the Boston keratoprosthesis and the osteo-odonto-keratoprosthesis. She completed the European Society of Ophthalmology's European Leadership Development Programme (class of 2015 to 2017) and received the Order of Military Merit from the King of Jordan for her contributions to ophthalmology in Jordan. She is the founder and lead of Women in Ophthalmology Arabia.
