Naveen Rao

Naveen Rao is a cornea, cataract and anterior segment surgeon at Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston, Massachusetts, United States, and an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Tufts University School of Medicine. He earned his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine, completed his ophthalmology residency at Casey Eye Institute/Oregon Health & Science University, and a fellowship in cornea, external disease and anterior segment surgery at New England Eye Center/Tufts Medical Center and Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston. He was previously a Senior Staff Ophthalmologist at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, where he was Residency Program Director for the Lahey portion of the Tufts Ophthalmology Residency Program. His surgical interests include cataract surgery, advanced lens-implant fixation and endothelial keratoplasty (DMEK and DSAEK). He is senior director of two courses on advanced lens-implant fixation at the AAO and ASCRS annual meetings, and Medical Director of the Lions VisionGift East eye bank in Boston.
