Nawras Alhalabi

Nawras Alhalabi is a PhD candidate in the Department of Ophthalmology, Faculty of Medicine, Damascus University, in Damascus, Syria. Dr. Alhalabi studied medicine at the Syrian Private University and began postgraduate ophthalmology training as a resident doctor in the Damascus University MSc programme in 2019. Published ophthalmology work includes a pilot study of suprachoroidal triamcinolone acetonide for macular edema associated with retinal vein occlusion, a study of war-related ocular injuries in Damascus, a survey of awareness of diabetes and diabetic retinopathy among patients in Damascus public hospitals, and reports on a primary iris stromal cyst, bilateral hypotropic dissociated vertical deviation, and retinal angiomatous proliferation with pachychoroid.
