Omar AbuQamar

Omar AbuQamar is an ophthalmologist specialising in retina who trained in Boston, United States. Dr. AbuQamar studied medicine at the University of Jordan, completed a Master of Medical Sciences at Harvard Medical School and carried out research on retinal imaging in diabetes at the Beetham Eye Institute, Joslin Diabetes Center, Boston. Ophthalmology residency followed at the New England Eye Center, Tufts Medical Center, Boston, and then a retinal fellowship at Lahey Clinic, Beth Israel Lahey Health, in Burlington, Massachusetts. Dr. AbuQamar's published research uses optical coherence tomography (OCT) and OCT angiography to study diabetic retinopathy, diabetic macular edema, age-related macular degeneration and retinal markers of cardiovascular disease.
