Osama Giledi

Osama Giledi is a consultant ophthalmologist in cataract, cornea and refractive surgery and Chief of Cornea and Refractive Surgery at Moorfields Eye Hospital Dubai, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. After a medical degree (MBBCh) in Libya, he completed specialist ophthalmology training in the United Kingdom and holds the FRCSEd (Ophthalmology) and the Royal College of Ophthalmologists' certification in refractive surgery. His subspecialty training included a clinical fellowship in cornea and external eye disease at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle, and a two-year fellowship in anterior segment, cornea and refractive surgery at the Corneoplastic Unit and Eye Bank, Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead. His practice covers corneal transplantation, keratoconus, ocular surface disease, complex cataract surgery and laser vision correction. He is an adjunct Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences and a member of the UAE National Organ and Tissue Program Corneal Transplant Committee.
