Pelin Kaynak

Pelin Kaynak is an ophthalmologist in the Department of Ophthalmology at İstanbul Nişantaşı University Faculty of Medicine, İstanbul, Türkiye, specialising in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery. She trained in ophthalmology at İstanbul Beyoğlu Eye Training and Research Hospital and in orbitofacial plastic surgery at the Jules Stein Eye Institute, UCLA, and later worked in the Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department of Beyoğlu Eye Training and Research Hospital. Her published work covers ptosis surgery, including a needle-based modification of Müller's muscle-conjunctival resection, dacryocystorhinostomy techniques, nasolacrimal duct obstruction in children, eyelid retraction in thyroid eye disease and eyelid tumours. In 2019 she was a course director, with Robert A. Goldberg, of the Aesthetic Eyelid Surgery and Periorbital Rejuvenation Video Course held in İstanbul on behalf of the Turkish Ophthalmological Association.
