Biography
Rana Hussein Amin is a uveitis consultant in the Department of Ophthalmology, Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University, at Kasr Al-Aini Hospital, Cairo, Egypt. Dr. Amin holds an MD from Cairo University and the FRCS (Glasgow), both awarded in 2019. Published work covers non-infectious and infectious uveitis, including Behçet uveitis, presumed trematode-induced granulomatous uveitis, uveitis in leprosy and uveitis in children. Dr. Amin is a co-author of the Egyptian consensus guidance on the treatment (2025) and diagnosis (2026) of non-infectious uveitis in adults, and has contributed to the international AIDA Network registry for patients with non-infectious uveitis.
