Samer Hamada

Samer Hamada is a consultant ophthalmic surgeon and the founder and Medical Director of Eye Clinic London, London, United Kingdom. He specialises in corneal, cataract and refractive surgery in adults and children, with a focus on paediatric corneal disease, ocular surface disease and dry eye. He was previously Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon and Clinical Lead of the Corneoplastic Unit and Eye Bank at Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, East Grinstead. His qualifications include the FRCSEd (Ophth), FRCOphth, FEBO and an MSc in Cataract and Refractive Surgery from Ulster University, and his fellowship training covered adult and paediatric cornea, refractive surgery, ocular surface and anterior segment. He teaches on the MCh in Surgery (Ophthalmology) at Canterbury Christ Church University and is an examiner for the European Board of Ophthalmology. He founded the Cornea Club and established the Ocular Surface Insight (OSI) magazine and OSI International Conferences.
