Wassim Altroudi

Wassim Altroudi is a consultant ophthalmologist at Ebsaar Eye Surgery Center in Jumeirah, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and has practised in Dubai since 2007. He studied medicine in Damascus, Syria, trained in ophthalmology at the Eye Surgical Hospital in Damascus and obtained the Syrian Board of Ophthalmology in 2005. He then completed a fellowship in anterior segment ophthalmology in France, where he obtained the AFSA certificate. His clinical work centres on ocular surface disease and dry eye, and also covers cornea and keratoconus, cataract surgery with intraocular lens implantation, refractive surgery including LASIK, EpiLASIK and phakic intraocular lenses, and medical retina. He has taken part in voluntary surgical campaigns in Syria, India and Dubai and has received appreciation certificates from the Noor Dubai Initiative and the Sahai Institute of Ophthalmology in India.
